Robert Doisneau (1912-1994) is one of France's greatest photographers. Having started his career as an industrial photographer for Renault, Doisneau went on to become famous for the photographs he took in the streets of Paris and its suburbs (such as the immensely well-known Baiser de l’Hôtel de Ville), which won him numerous prizes and international recognition.
Following Flammarion's recent publication of the book Paris Doisneau, the Grimaldi Forum Monaco devotes an exhibition to these "capital images" with over 180 photographs in diverse formats.
The exhibition is curated jointly by Jean Albou and the Atelier Robert Doisneau.
