The exhibition presents some 380 works of art and design representative of twentieth-century design in Italy, ranging from furniture and glassware to fabrics and ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography and architectural drawing. It is divided into four thematic sections: Boundless Optimism, Monumentality and Rationalism, Reconstruction and the Economic Miracle, Postmodern Testing Ground.
